When I look at chart of broad commodity exchange traded fund with ticker DBC I must say that it is in bear market mood. Investors are not buying commodities these days.
Gold ETF analysis presents much positive picture. GLD ETF is not so bearish like DBC. But I would not be buyer of GLD ETF. Pennant stock chart pattern that is on GLD ETF stock chart is better to be traded after real breakout. So it is now time to be more patient and wait for better risk reward and trade setup.

I have found that one of really good but overlooked source of important stock trading know how can be found in interviews with best stock traders. They can be found on Internet from time to time or in some are published in good stock trading books.

I have been asked recently how many profitable trades should trader do to make money by trading. It is common belief that trader should make a lot of trades, almost all, profitable to achieve this goals.
It is not correct. I have read several discussions of different traders, where I noted that they were profitable already with profits only in half of all trades. Yes they finish only 50% of trades with profit and are able to make money.
My personal experience tells me that even I have bad month and I finish only 30% of all trades in profit, I am able to be break even for a month.
One of key stock trading secrets how to do it is to avoid big losses in trading.

Moving averages are technical analysis indicators that are very useful in stock trading. It is very simple indicator but it is very powerful.
There are several different options how to use it in stock trading and stock chart analysis. I have summarized options how I personally use moving averages in my trading. I would like to know if somebody of you use moving averages and this usage is not described there. I would like to learn more about this simple technical analysis indicator so please let me know how you use it.

I have recently written some ideas about every day index fund trading techniques. Day trading of index ETF shares could be profitable day trading strategy. It can be used alone or as one part of stock trading business plan or stock trading system.
US stock market indexes are now in very volatile period and index day trading could be much better trading strategy then position trading or active investing.

Generally I prefer to use some charting software that allows much better stock charts analysis options. But if you need to check situation of some stock online without ability to use your software or if you start to learn about trading and do not want to invest into some stock analysis software right now, then it is possible to use some online web sites and their charts.

Silver ETF chart is in quite bearish situation. Price has broken down from bearish stock chart pattern and offer very good short selling opportunity.
There are several different silver ETF tickers that can be used to trade silver commodity.

Commodity sector is quite bearish. Only Oil and gold are slightly positive these days. Bearishness of commodity situation I describe in my latest free newsletter that is going to be published in next few days.
I have found that agriculture commodities are one of the weakest part. Agriculture ETF with symbol DBA is weak and in bearish position. It is good ETF pick for bearish short sell type of ETF Trading strategy.
